I had all of the above stress when I was planning my wedding. I wanted a wedding that fit my budget which didn’t compromise on quality. I thought I didn’t need a wedding planner and can plan the whole wedding myself.

Everything went 100% smoothly. Anni literally sat down with us over a few consultations spending hours to nail down the details of the wedding – from the suppliers to how the logistics will work on the day.
What stood out to me from Anni was her experience in dealing with Western and Asian cultures in a wedding. If you want to have a western-style wedding but have Asian families, you need to cater for both sides to make all parties happy. Anni was able to handle our situation very professionally to ensure that everyone didn’t miss out – the day went perfectly!
Anni and her team were also present on our wedding day – they ensured that everything went to plan: They even helped ushered the bridesmaids as they walked down the aisle to ensure the perfect timing with the music!!

Are you tossing up between having a beautiful and elegant wedding vs buying a house? ? Are you feeling frustrated because you want someone to plan your wedding but you’re worried about paying A LOT of extra costs? Are you confused as to why there are so many hidden costs involved to hire a venue for your reception? ?
That is EXACTLY why I needed a wedding planner. I’ve never been married before (and hopefully this is the only time) but Anni from Colour 18 was able to provide me with all the VERY reasonably-priced options to ensure that my Chinese relatives will be impressed with the first ever western (instead of a traditional wedding at The Eight at Haymarket) wedding in my family’s generation.
Breaking the rules isn’t always my thing and if I was going to do it I had to do it with class. But I didn’t want to break my budget. Anni understood that we had a budget and she worked around it by letting us know what was actually going to be important on the day, where you can cut costs, and impress my guests WITHOUT jeopardising the “wow” factor in my wedding. My parents and I have received so much great feedback from our friend and relatives. They keep on talking about how everything was classy and ran SO smoothly. Yes, it was SUCH a smooth day and I personally didn’t feel any stress at all on the day except in the moments that Anni wasn’t there – yes, she’s THAT good. ?
My only regret was that I didn’t engage her in the early stages of my wedding planning. I realised that just using the ‘easy weddings’ checklist wasn’t going to cut it and I didn’t want to spend a fortune on wedding planning services to get an inexperienced wedding planner who doesn’t know what she’s doing. You need to engage a good wedding planner BEFORE booking in a venue. Don’t do what I did ladies, there are SO many things you can negotiate in those contracts that you can’t put hour eye on. ?
Anni has 15+ years of experience in this industry and a very experienced team. I didn’t realise team work was so important on a wedding day. I’ve heard horror stories where people who engaged inexperienced wedding planners had flowers delivered at the wrong time, to the wrong place, and even the wrong colour because the flowers weren’t available. She made sure she met all our expectations on the big day. She made sure that my bouquet was EXACTLY the same as what I had in my photo. ? Anni has her own in-house florist which can ensure your flowers are fresh and delivered on time. I didn’t have to spend a fortune on flowers but I still got AMAZING flowers on the day that everyone took home. ??
She provided us with hours of her time to ensure that our day ran perfectly and that nothing was missed. All the small details on the day were SO important. e.g. traffic, the delivery of flowers, ensuring that my family was happy on the day (it gets SO stressful on the day). ?

It was probably fate that led me to accidentally browse upon Anni’s website for wedding planning services, and I forever thank my lucky stars that I am able to secure her services within such a short notice. Throughout the interaction leading up to the big day, Anni was professional, responsive and tirelessly sought to give us many different options so that we can consider what is best. She supplemented her recommendations with stories from previous wedding events, which really provided colour to what we can expect with or without a particular service item – some stories were also really quite funny and memorable!
The biggest highlight for us was when Anni managed to secure my dream venue for the date we wanted, and at a price that we can afford. That was really the point when we realised the value of having a wedding planner! She also thought of ways to help us maximise the value of our budget, cutting down unnecessary items if needed. In addition, Anni also provided us with quick tips and assistance outside the scope of the services we paid for (such as where to look for Chinese wedding cakes and reliable jewellers), which we are very very grateful for.
A big thank you to her team as well, especially Moscow and Vivi for their passion and energy during the photo shoots and ensuring my make up was still alright. It was really windy but the sneak photos we saw were excellent!
Again we can’t thank Anni enough for making our day run smoothly and so special. Having her really gave us confidence that we can still plan for a great wedding within a short time. I am already recommending Anni to my friend who is getting married next!
